Michelle Fontaine, also known as FB Smarty and Social Media by Michelle

With an MBA, earned in 2002 from Assumption College, and 25 years of experience in the Corporate environment as a Marketing Communications manager, she is well-versed, experienced and poised to make you shine!

More importantly in this day and age, she constantly keeps up with the latest trends to bring fresh social media marketing skills to her clients. In 2010, while standing on a beach with her daughter who was using Facebook on her cell phone, her daughter turned to her and said, “Mom, you should be teaching Facebook!” ~ with that, FBSmarty was born. Nowadays, Michelle is also known as Social Media by Michelle.

Michelle is first and foremost a teacher and speaker. Her social media courses are taught 1 to 1, 1 to many, virtually or on site. She has earned the title of Social Media Master as a member of the Social Media Masters Tour held in CT and MA in September and October of 2012.

As a Social Media manager, clients say Michelle makes them appear much larger than they are by creating the right channels and working jointly with the client to maintain them correctly and efficiently.

Her Social Media expertise includes Facebook, Blogging, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Google, Twitter, WordPress Websites and more.

Her Web technical skills include html/css and WordPress websites and her strong fluency in Photoshop and Photography/Video complete a great tool customer toolkit.

Her philosophy of giving back currently includes:

  • Advisory Board Member, Center for Women and Enterprise
  • Co-Chair, Blackstone Valley Tourism Association

Michelle is also always a student. She received her Certificate of Completion for the Facebook Success Summit for 2012 and has recently participated in the Mari Smith Extreme Fan Growth Course. She participates in at least two expert courses a year.
